PHP Service Statistics

2005-2006 Fiscal Year 7/1/05- 6/30/06
§ 23,754 direct services to children, families and professionals serving them.
§ 3,367 attended PHP parent education sessions and/or support events.
§ 12,140 individuals attended parent education, information and outreach sessions about resources for children with special needs provided by PHP staff in the community.
§ 3,393 Information packets on topics such as disability, educational rights and financial assistance were sent to families via email or by post.
§ 112 new families to PHP received a match to an experienced/mentor parent.
§ 68 infants received a handmade baby blanket to promote bonding between parent and baby through our Baby Gift Program supported by “The Binky Patrol”.
Clients connect with PHP an average of 3 times a year.
Of those served when compared to the US Census we find that the income ranges are:

PHP is helping children with special needs to reach their full potential and their families in become self-sufficient in meeting their child’s ongoing needs. PHP is the information powerhouse for families that have children with special needs!
PHP is located in the heart of Silicon Valley. Our 32 staff members are housed in a family-friendly 13,000 square foot building that boasts a large training room, a warm and friendly family room, our 2 lending libraries and our iTECH center.

After receiving services from PHP, families responding to our survey reported the following:
§ 91% stated that PHP services have helped them to better understand the nature of their child's condition.
§ 89% agreed that PHP services have helped them to better understand the impact of special needs on their child's behavior.
§ 88% agreed that services have helped them to learn better ways of parenting or caring for their child with special needs.
§ 91% stated that PHP services have helped them to identify a support system to help them address my concerns.
§ 92% agreed that has helped them to gain a better understanding of options or services available to them and their child.
§ 90% agreed PHP has helped them to learn how to access benefits and community resources.
§ 90% believe that PHP has helped them to obtain a better understanding of their child's legal rights in regards to special education.
§ 88% feel that PHP services have helped to improve the quality of life for their child(ren).
§ 90% agree that PHP services have helped to improve the quality of life for their family as a whole.
§ 97% would recommend PHP to others who have needs similar to mine.
§ 92% feel that PHP staff exceeds their expectations frequently or very frequently.
