This support group is an opportunity for parents to meet informally to decrease feelings of isolation and to connect with other parents of children with disabilities who speak the same language and share the same culture.

The support group also gives the opportunity to meet other parents who have empathy and experience and have "been there". It is also helpful to connect with other parents of children with disabilities to share ideas, experiences, and information. New families and caregivers are always welcome.

Joining a support group can be a helpful way to learn from other parents about resources in the community also. Those who wish to share or simply listen are invited to attend. PHP provides advocacy skills to ensure and protect the rights of your child and to build your own confidence and aid in your ability to participate in obtaining appropriate supports and services for your child.

Please note that starting in March, we will have our meeting every THIRD FRIDAY. Same time and place.

Hội Phụ Huynh Tương Tế là một tổ chức thiện nguyện, vô vị lợi, và hoàn toàn tự túc về mặt tài chánh. Vì lý do đó, sự đóng góp tình nguyện của phụ huynh có thể giúp tăng năng lực của Hội, như đóng góp để tìm người trong nom trẻ trong buổi họp hoặc giúp trong việc tiêu pha ở cơ quan Parents Helping Parents để giúp hơn hàng nghìn gia đình trong hạt Santa Clara.

Mục đích của Hội là trợ giúp về đủ mọi mặt các phụ huynh có con em khuyết tật. Ý chính của Hội là để cho phụ huynh họp mặt, trau dồi và truyện trò với nhau để làm giảm sự cô đơn. Quan trọng nhất là trong những buổi hội họp như vậy, phụ huynh có dịp chia sẻ và trao đổi kinh nghiệm về việc chăm sóc các con em bị khuyết tật.
