ASD Biomedical Discussion Group
ASD (AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS) BIOMEDICAL DISCUSSION GROUP This support group is for parents interested in exploring bio-medical treatments for autism spectrum disorders, including PDD and Aspergers. The parents in our group have a wide range of experience dealing with some of the underlying physical problems associated with ASD, from digestive and neurological problems to special diets and nutritional supplementation. Topics of discussion can include: how and why dietary interventions work, testing, finding the right health care, the biochemistry of autism, new treatments, how to get started, underlying immune issues, allergies, chelation. We also feature special speakers throughout year.
The group meets throughout the year except for the months of August and December. The 2008 meetings will soon be listed on the Events Calendar. The next meeting is on Wednesday, February 13, 2008.
