PHP holds events to bring PHP Families together to promote the sense of community and commonalities of parenting children (and adults) with special needs and their siblings.

While each of us are part of our own communities in our neighborhoods, churches, and other networks, as parents and families having a child with special needs, we have a unique bond, that is proven by the research. When connecting with other families with similar challenges, it seems that life is a little less serious, a little more fun, and we can laugh together, appreciate each others challenges and find that life holds for us many new paths that seemed to be paved with darkness at times before we found the light in each other.

Bringing PHP families together is the heartbeat of the agency, Parents Helping Parents. We believe that we all beat to a different drummer and that we are all valued and welcome.
